Frequently asked questions

Just a few of the most commonly asked questions by our guests:

 

Check-in

Check-in time on the day of arrival is between 4pm and 6pm, should you wish to arrive later, please call us in advance to make arrangements. Once you have been directed to your lodge please let us know immediately if there is anything that is not to your satisfaction so we can put it right straight away.

Check out

We know you don't want to think about heading home just yet, but we need to advise you that our check out time on the day of departure is 10am. Please leave your lodge tidy.

Departure & Keys

Please return your keys to the office on your departure day, if the office is not manned, please deposit the key in the black return box to the left of the office door. Lost keys carry a small charge to get replacements.

Children - The River & The Road

Can all parents and guardians staying with us who have children of any age, please be aware of the unfenced river Tay that runs along-side the park and be mindful of the road to the rear of the park. Children must be supervised at all times whilst in the park.

Laundry in your lodge

We provide your bed linen and towels, if you need to change or need additional items please ask at the office during the opening times notified on the office door and we’ll be happy to assist.

Housekeeping

Please notify the onsite team if you require any assistance with any matter relating to housekeeping and we will do our utmost to assist.

Cleaning

We ask all guests to respect the lodges as if they were at home. If you need any cleaning materials during your stay, just ask. Please leave your lodge tidy as we reserve the right to charge an unlimited housekeeping surcharge if your lodge is not left in a reasonable condition.

Electric

All appliances in the lodge are powered by electricity, if you find fault with any appliances please report them to the park office.

Heaters

All lodges come with wall mounted electric heaters which are adjusted by using the controls on the top right of the heater, if you require assistance to regulate the heat or require additional heaters please ask at the office during opening hours.

Showers

The showers in the lodges are either run straight of the mains from the hot water tank in the attic or electric power showers, please ensure your water heater switch in the kitchen is switched on so you have hot water on demand.

TV and Freeview

The televisions provided in most cases have built-in Freeview, however, being in the countryside we do not get a large selection of channels and some weather conditions can affect the quality of viewing for which we apologise.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted inside any lodges at any time, housekeeping surcharges will apply if you break the law by smoking in the lodges, if you do smoke outside please dispose of your ends with consideration for wildlife and other guests as they are potential fire hazards.

Noise and bad language

Please consider your neighbouring guests by keeping noise to a minimum in the evening, and during the night. Loud music and the use of bad language unacceptable and anyone not following this park rule will be asked to leave the park immediately without a refund.

Pets - Charges, Leads and Waste

Pets staying carry a surcharge of £35 per stay. We ask you to inform us in advance of your arrival if you are bringing your pet. We ask all pet owners to keep their pets on leads in the park, to lift and dispose of any waste using the correct bins and not to allow their pets to sleep on the furniture or beds at any time. You may be asked to leave the park if you do not follow the site dog rules.

We are unable to accept the following breeds of dog at Logierait Lodges:

  • Americal Pit Bull Terrier
  • Fila Brasileiro
  • Japanese Tosa
  • Dogo Argentino

Belongings

Please keep all valuables safe, the management or owners will not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to personal items or vehicles kept in the lodge or parked on the park.

Maintenance Requests

If you find anything in your lodge that needs to be repaired or a replacement please bring it to our attention immediately, and we will do what we can to rectify it there and then, however, in some cases where the need for a part to purchased or an external contractor is required this may take some time to organise and we apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

Fire Procedure

  • Should you discover a fire please call 999 immediately, if you do not have the use of a mobile please use the emergency phone in the laundrette which is next door to the park office.
  • Please evacuate your lodge and raise the alarm to alert other guest by using the alarm bells situated on site or by waking your neighbouring lodges by knocking their doors/windows.
  • The fire assembly point is in the area outside the park office.
  • Please only attempt to extinguish if safe do so and you are confident in the use of equipment.

Fire prevention

If you spot a fire hazard please report immediately to the park office or call head office on 0845 2 694 386

Fireworks

Fireworks are not allowed to be used in the park

Fire tests

We inspect all lodge and park fire detection systems on a weekly basis

BBQs

BBQs are allowed on site, but please take care at all times, do not leave them unattended and do not dispose of hot ashes in the general waste bins. If using instant BBQ's please also do not set down on grass areas as this will damage the grass, nor on wooden balconies or patio furniture.

Outdoor Seating

Should you need additional outdoor seating there is a stock of garden furniture stored at the rear of the park office building, just return it when your finished using it.

Wifi Availability

There is Wifi available on site. We provide it free of charge, but please note that it can be intermittent. If your lodge has a Wifi connection plug, please note that it must NOT be switched off unless a member of staff asks you to do so. Please contact reception for the password.

Waste Bins

There are general waste bins at the office end of the car park, please remove all rubbish from the lodges on your day of departure.

Recycling

We have recycling facilities on site and ask that you dispose of your rubbish in either of the MIXED RECYCLING (cardboard, paper, cans and plastic), GLASS RECYCLING, or GENERAL WASTE (anything other than mentioned above) bins.

Trains, Buses and Taxis

The nearest train station is in Pitlochry and is approximately a 10 minute drive. There is a bus stop on the main road near the park exit, just turn left and its about 100 metres, buses to Pitlochry and Aberfeldy run fairly frequent – timetables available at reception.

Complaints

If there is any part of your stay with us that is not to your satisfaction please contact a member of the park team directly or call 01786 482 253 and we will do what we can to resolve any complaints you may have immediately.

Compliments, Comments & Feedback

We welcome all of our customer's feedback and comments and we take a proactive interest in improving or changing what we do when our customers take the time to tell us so to improve our services and our future customer's experiences with us.

Breakages

We appreciate that accidents happen, please inform us prior to departure of breakages that occur so we can replace items for the next guests arrival.

Speed

Please drive slowly on-site, 5 mph is requested as there may be children playing

Litter

Please do not litter our park, please dispose of all waste appropriately including cigarette ends.

Laundrette

There is a guest laundry next to the park office, it's free to use and washing powder is available if you need it from the park office during office hours.

Fishing

We are lucky enough to have the fishing rights to the north beat 78 on the Tay which runs past the park, (from the old railway bridge to the boundary on the old post office cottage) unlike other parks and beat owners we do not charge our resident guests to use this, all that we ask is that they put back the first catch and notify the office on how many you have been lucky enough to catch so we can advise the appropriate authorities. There is NO Sunday fishing and no use of prawns or shrimp as bait. A copy of "The Regulations for Fishing the Tay" are available from the office on request.

Ducks and Wildlife

As you will no doubt find we have lots of wildlife around us here at Logierait Lodges, please follow the country code and use common sense when encountering all animals.

Extra Beds

Most lodges can accommodate additional guest beds for a small charge, please check at the time of booking or with the park office on arrival, all subject to availability.

Extra Bedding

We have a stock of blankets/throws, if you should require the use of these, please ask at reception.

Shops & Supermarkets

The nearest shops are in Pitlochry, Grantully and Aberfeldy all within 5 – 15 minutes drive, also there is a small selection of groceries available at the petrol station in Ballinluig. The nearest supermarkets are Pitlochry and Aberfeldy for Co-Op stores or there is a large TESCO on the Perth bypass.

Power cuts

Should there be a power cut, please call the main number for assistance 01786 482 253, however, like power cuts anywhere we are reliant on the power companies restoring power to us, we ask for your patience should this occur. (each lodge is provided with a battery-operated torch just in case).

Parking

Please park your vehicles with consideration for other park users and always allow access for emergency vehicles.

Pests

Being in the countryside we get our fair share of pests such as field mice and the likes, please report any sightings to the park office and we shall contact our contractor to pay them a visit!!.
